Sewing Machine Fundamentals

Ages: 18+ (we will have separate youth classes)
Learn to operate a sewing machine! This class will give you a foundation so you can dive into the project you envision doing. You can take this class as many times as you wish. No experience or knowledge is required. The class is for beginners.
Bring your own machine or use one here. If you have one that is portable it is best to bring it since so that you become familiar with your particular machine. If you have the manual and accessories it came with bring those too. Let us know if you need help carrying it in.

- Understand the dials & settings
- Winding the bobbin
- Threading the machine
- Understand thread tension
- Learn about and change machine needles, feet, accessories
- Cleaning and maintenance
- Tips & techniques
- Sewing practice
